Jordi Canals is Dean and Professor of General Management at IESE Business School (University of Navarra). His areas of expertise are corporate strategy, internationalization and corporate governance. He holds a PhD in Economics (University of Barcelona) Best Dissertation Award.
He has been a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Harvard Business School, an Associate Fellow at the Center for International Affairs (Harvard University), Visiting Scholar at the World Bank, Visiting Scholar at the International Monetary Fund and Guest Scholar at The Brookings Institution.
He is a founding member of the European Shadow Financial Regulatory Committee, member of the Spanish Government task force on corporate governance and member of the executive committee of the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management.
He was a Fulbright Fellow and received the ?Societat Catalana d?Economia? Award in 1998.
He has published thirteen books and many academic articles on strategy, international management and banking in refereed journals.
