For the third time in a row EPF gives its total support to BMP
The European Property Federation will collaborate again with BMP?s symposium, organising a session with INREV, the Association for Investors in Non-listed Real Estate Vehicles. Recognising BMP as the top Southern European property conference, EPF is organising a major session in Barcelona for the third year in a row, this time with INREV, the Association for Investors in Non-listed Real Estate Vehicles. As always, the theme is pan-European investment. EPF The European Property Federation represents all aspects of property ownership and investment: residential landlords, housing companies, commercial property investment and development companies, shopping centres and the property interests of the institutional investors (banks, insurance companies, pension funds). Members own and manage 700 million m² of property assets valued at ? 600 billion. EPF is the voice of European property in the EU legislative and regulatory process. It works to ensure the proper functioning of the EU?s Internal Market for Property. INREV The Association for Investors in Non-listed Real Estate Vehicles was launched in May 2003 to improve transparency and professionalism in the industry, and to provide a platform for industry players. As a pan-European body, INREV represents an excellent platform for the sharing and dissemination of knowledge on the non-listed real estate fund market. INREV is dominated by institutional investors and supported by other market participants such as fund managers, investment banks, lawyers and other advisors. It counts over 100 major investors and other players as its members. The session In the session, major investors will look at the fast-growing market for European indirect investment. Why invest cross-border? Why invest indirectly? Which indirect vehicles are attractive and why? In particular, the panel will explore the growth and attractions of Regional Funds: Southern European, Central and Eastern European, and Nordic funds. How has this market grown? What do investors look for in regional funds? Which regions are most attractive? Michiel Olland, Chairman of INREV and Executive Vice President, European and Asian-Pacific Real Estate, of Stichting Pensioenfonds ABP (Amsterdam), Michael Nielsen, Managing Director of ATP Ejendomme (Copenhagen), Chris Morrish, Senior Vice President of GIC Real Estate (Singapore), Erwin Stouthamer, Director International Real Estate of Mn Services Investment Management (The Hague). With Pedro Gamero del Castillo, European Property Federation President and Testa Chairman (Madrid) as moderator, they?ll provide insights into challenges of cross-border and regional investment
