He graduated in Business Studies both from ESADE and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, and has a Master's Degree in Business Administration (M.B.A.) from ESADE. He has also a degree in Economics from the University of Barcelona, where he has also studied Law. He has attended different post-graduate courses at different schools, including the Sloan School of Management (MIT), the Stern School (New York University). He’s currently following the Ph.D. courses at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and he has already obtained his Diploma in Advanced Studies (DEA).

He is currently General Managing Director of GRUPO FINANCIERO RIVA Y GARCÍA and is responsible for the Corporate Finance Department.

In 1999 he received the Best Financial Executive Award by Actualidad Económica. In 2001 he ended his project with the highest market capitalization of the Spanish Stock Exchanges. Pere Viñolas was former Chief Executive Officer of Filo, a Spanish listed company, and Deputy General Manager at the Barcelona Stock Exchange, which he joined in 1990 as Head of Research and CFO.

He has been Chairman of the Advisory Committee and member of the Supervisory Committee of the Spanish Futures and Options Market (MEFF), Chairman of the European Association of Financial Centres, member of the Working Committee of the International Federation of Stock Exchanges and member of the Work Committee of the Iberoamerican Federation of Stock Exchanges

Head-professor of Corporate Valuation, Investment Analysis and Financial Strategy at ESADE and Associate Professor at the the Institut d'Estudis Fiancers (Institute of Financial Studies) in Barcelona, Pere Viñolas is also the co-author of the book Principios de Valoración de Empresas, published by Ediciones Deusto. He is also the co-author of the article “FEVA: A Financial and Economic Approach to Valuation”, which was published in the Financial Analysts Journal (March - April 2003).

Hi is also Head of the ESADE Chair of Real Estate, member of ESADE’s Real Estae and member of the District Council of the Urban Land Institute
