Lord Simon of Highbury, to speak at BMP on High Energy Prices and Real Estate

The former British Minister and ex BP Chairman has confirmed his speaking at the -by invitation only- "Dinner of the Leaders"

The “Dinner of the Leaders”, organized by BMP and sponsored by Morgan Stanley, will have an outstanding speaker. Lord Simon of Highbury was appointed by Tony Blair Minister for Trade and Competitiveness in Europe at the Department of Trade and Industry and HM Treasury. He was an adviser to the Cabinet Office during 1999–2002 and is a former chairman of BP.
He was appointed CBE in 1991, knighted in 1995 and became a life peer in 1997.
In May 2000, he was appointed as an advisory director to Unilever and subsequently became a non-executive director in 2004. He also serves as a member of the nomination and remuneration committees.
Lord Simon has also been vice president of the European Round Table, a non-executive director of the Bank of England, Rio Tinto and Grand Metropolitan, and a member of the advisory boards of Deutsche Bank and Allianz.
A senior adviser to Morgan Stanley International, Lord Simon is also a non-executive director of Suez Group, France; a member of FITCH International Advisory Council, France; a member of the board of directors for CEPS, Belgium (Centre for European Policy Studies); and a director of Koenigswinter.
