Alfonso Munk is a Vice-President of Morgan Stanley, based in Madrid and is the country head responsible for Morgan Stanley’s real estate investing activities.
Alfonso joined Morgan Staley in 2002 and has been actively involved in the Firm’s real estate activities in Europe since that time. Alfonso has been based in Morgan Stanley’s London and Paris offices and most recently Madrid. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Alfonso held various positions in Pricewaterhouse Coopers and Jones Lang LaSalle.
He has a considerable experience in both principal investing and investment banking areas in real estate, including acquisitions of single assets and portfolios, establishing several investment joint-ventures in residential and retail sectors with grupo Lar in Spain as well as minority share acquisitions through the Morgan Stanley Spacial Situations Funds, notably the investments in Fadesa, Altarea and Grupo Lar.
Alfonso has participated in the acquisition of single assets and portfolios throughout Europa in the residential, office, retail, hotel and logistics sector valued in excess of Euro 5 billion. He is responsible for large acquisitions such as the IBM headquarters in Madrid in 2006.
Alfonso received an MBA form Wharton Business School and a BS form Cornell University, specializing in finance and real estate.
