Alec Emmott MA MRICS is a graduate of Trinity College, Cambridge and holds an M.A. in Land Economy.

After working in South Africa, the US and the UK, he moved to France in 1973 and joined SFL in 1995 as advisor to the Chairman. In 1997 he was appointed Managing Director.

In 2003 SFL opted for SIIC (tax transparent) status marking the beginning of a new phase in its policy of value creation in the Paris CBD through active asset management. The company’s controlling shareholder is Inmobiliaria Colonial from Barcelona.

Alec Emmott is also director of IPD France, the Institut d'Epargne Immobilière et Foncière (IEIF) and Crownstone Properties.
