Barbara Pereira is responsible for facilitating the growth of the CBRE Melody Capital Market’s business lines including:
• Leading EMEA Debt and Equity Finance, and
• Loan advisory services outside of the US.
In this capacity, Ms. Pereira works jointly with the CBRE offices throughout the world to expand CBRE’s client base for commercial real estate debt services.

Barbara brings over 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry to her role of business development. She joined CBRE Melody in January of 2005.
During her career, Ms. Pereira has been involved in many facets of the commercial real estate industry: financing, development, sales, loan workouts, leasing, technology, and research. Her experience includes work throughout the US, parts of Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe.
Prior to joining CBRE Melody, Barbara was the national relationship manager for loan originations at JPMorgan Mortgage Capital, where she has been involved in the origination of over $3billion of retail, office, industrial, multifamily and hotel financings. Additionally, she helped implement the CMBS industry's first web-enabled and automated commercial mortgage loan origination portal integrated with a web-enabled pipeline-underwriting-asset management technology.
Barbara was involved in structuring some of the US' first commercial mortgage loan securitizations, while leading 5 transactions of over $3.5 billion for the Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC). Additionally, she led two of the pioneering equity and debt structured transactions (“N Deals”) while at the RTC as well. As the Special Assistant to the head of Asset Management for the RTC, Barbara was responsible for crafting and negotiating some the industry’s first standard commercial mortgage loan asset management agreements.
