For the last seven years Romeu Chap Chap, has been President of Secovi-SP, a real estate association founded in 1946 that represents the real estate industry and the condominiums in the state of São Paulo. He is currently, President of the Consultancy Agency Secovi Conselho.

He has been involved in several national and international associations such as ADVB (Brazilian Marketing and Sales Association), Fiabci/Brasil and Fiabci Americas, Abrasce (Brazilian Association of Shopping Centers) and CBIC (Brazilian Chamber of Construction Industry) where he is currently vice-president. He is member of the National Council of Social Development, by appointment from the President of Brazil.

Civil engineer and owner of Romeu Chap Chap Construction Ltd and of the Romeu Chap Chap Development and Real Estate Consulting, with 45 years of uninterrupted activities within the real estate market, in the areas of construction, development, shopping centers and leisure enterprises. In 2003 he was reelected for fifteen consecutive years as “Leader of the Real Estate Industry” by the Gazeta Mercantil Newspaper. Romeu Chap Chap has developed and built more than one hundred high-class buildings in São Paulo and other cities in the state.
