Helen is a Partner at King Sturge LLP, based in the London office. Helen has sat on the RICS Building Surveying Faculty Board since 2003, and was elected Vice Chair of the Faculty in 2006. Helen accepted the role of Chair in August 2008.

Following study at Leicester Polytechnic/ De Montfort University, Helen graduated with a BSc (Hons) Building Surveying degree in 1993. Her professional training commenced at Hiller Parker in London where she qualified in 1995 and worked in total for seven years. During this time she established the Building Surveying Department in Birmingham arising from some key development monitoring and funded supervision instructions. In 2000 Helen accepted a position as an Associate at Capita Property Services.

Helen joined King Sturge in 2001 and was appointed a Partner in 2003. She heads a team of sixteen who specialises in commercial building surveying advice; in particular providing property acquisition, disposal, refurbishment and dilapidations advice to a number of large investment clients and occupiers. She sits on the King Sturge Environmental Sustainability Committee, and through this she has been represented the British Property Federation on the proposed Water Performance in Buildings Directive, and the RICS on the future Energy Performance in Buildings Directive.

Helen is an RICS Fellow and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. She was admitted to the Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors in 2007.
