Advanced Technical Degree in Architecture - Specialization in Projects and Urban Planning (ETSAB - Barcelona School of Architecture), Master in Urban-Planning Projects (UPC –Polytechnic University of Catalonia) and Post-graduate Degree in Geographic Information Systems (UPC).
Aurora currently works as the Urban Planning Director at the 22@Barcelona municipal company (Barcelona City Council). She is also an associate professor in the Urban-planning and Territorial Organization Department at the ETSAB (since 2000-2001) and collaborates on Master and Post-graduate degrees at the UPC.
Since 2001, she has worked on the following projects at 22@Barcelona: Planning development for the transformation of industrial areas in Poblenou: drafting planning documents for the following sectors: Llull Pujades East, Audiovisual Campus, Llacuna Axis, Perú - Pere IV, Central Park, Llull Pujades West; Plan for the Protection of Industrial Heritage in Poblenou; Different transformation plans for blocks and public facilities, etc; Consulting and management of plans developed by private teams; Monitoring public and private building projects; among others.
Previously (1989-2000), Urban-planning coordinator, Barcelona City Council Department of Urban Studies and Urban-planning, participant in projects like: Special Internal Reform Plan (PERI) Diagonal Poblenou (1990-1992); Study and analysis of Barcelona’s facilities system (1993); Studies for the Transformation of the Sant Andreu – Sagrera Sector (1995-1996); Study of the Montjuic waterfront (1997); Criteria and Solutions for Planning in the Plaza de las Glorias and South Meridiana Area (1998); Renovation of the Poblenou Industrial Areas - Plan 22@ (1998-2000); Modification of the PGM to include a new area of housing for young people (2000); etc.
