Chris Brown is chief executive of Igloo Regeneration, the development manager of the Igloo Regeneration Fund, a £300 million fund backed by Norwich Union and other major financial institutions and managed by Morley Fund Management. Igloo invests in the development of mixed use, environmentally sustainable, well designed, urban regeneration projects on the edge of the UK’s top twenty city centres.
Chris is a director of
• Isis Waterside Regeneration, a joint venture between Igloo, British Waterways and Amec that regenerates brownfield waterside sites around the UK
• Blueprint, Igloo’s partnership with English Partnerships and the East Midlands Development Agency undertaking sustainable mixed use regeneration in the East Midlands
• Home, one of the UK’s largest housing associations and charities
• Creative Space, a leading provider of space for the creative and digital media industries.
He is also presently a member of the Scottish Communities Minister’s Regeneration Sounding Board and a NESTA Mentor.
Chris has been a member of the UK Government’s Urban Sounding Board, director of BURA, chair of the RICS Regeneration panel, a Regional Design Ambassador for the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment and a member of the Princes Foundation projects panel, the Regen-Now centre of excellence steering group, the A6 Single Regeneration Budget Board and advisor to ‘The Castleford Project’, Channel 4’s series on regeneration.
