With a degree in Mechanical Engineering and an Msc in Thermal Energy, Ricardo Sá is currently General Director of “Edifícios Saudáveis” (“Healthy Buildings”). This Portuguese company has been providing, for more than 10 years and in several countries (Portugal, Spain, Germany, Greece, Italy, Brazil, etc.), sustainability services for the built environment with a focus on energy use and indoor environmental quality.
Ricardo Sá is a member of the European Property Federation energy committee and has contributed to several technical commissions developing standards and legislation related with his field of work. He lectures in master courses of Portuguese universities, namely the Oporto University and the Portuguese Catholic University.
Ricardo Sá is a member of several international organizations (ASHRAE: “American Society. of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers” – EUA, FiSIAQ: “International Society of Indoor Air Quality and Climate”, USGBC: “United States Green Building Council” – EUA, CIBSE: “The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers” – UK, IESNA: “Illuminating Engineering Society of North America”, among others).
