PRESS NOTE BARCELONA MEETING POINT BMP 2004 BREAKS ALL RECORDS ?80% OF THE BMP 2005 SPACE HAS ALREADY BEEN RESERVED? Enrique Lacalle, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the International Real Estate Show and Symposium Barcelona Meeting Point, organized by El Consorcio de la Zona Franca, whose Executive President is Manuel Royes, considers that the eighth edition of Barcelona Meeting Point ?turned out beyond all expectations, and confirmed it as the first Real Estate Show in Europe.? Registered international journalists 180 Enrique Lacalle says the figures of BMP?s 2004 figures confirm its position as leading real estate exhibition nationally and internationally and reaffirm the slogan that says: ?Visiting BMP in the autumn is a must in the real estate industry.? One of the best indicators of the show?s success is the booking of exhibition space for BMP 2005 with an already confirmed increase in the number of exhibitors. It should be pointed out that 80% of the exhibition area is already reserved, as happened last year. Enrique Lacalle points out that BMP 2005 will take place from the 18th to the 23rd of October in the exhibition halls 1, 5 and 8 with 50,000 square meters of space. Although it is very difficult to make a exact calculation, in the duration of BMP 2004 ?the estimate turnover of the real estate deals carried out by the exhibitors between General Attendance and Professional Show, is between 4,000 and 5,000 million euros?. Lastly, Enrique Lacalle would like to highlight several aspects of BMP 2004: ? First, the overall satisfaction of exhibitors, professionals, Symposium attendees, and general attendance. ? Second, BMP 2004 has contributed to a fully book hotel in the city, due to its both national and international attendance, which crated business for Barcelona city in all industries: restaurants, commerce, leisure, etc. ? Third, the high design and quality level of the stands, being the Exhibition with highest investment in stand construction. ? Fourth, the great level of parallel activities and events organized around BMP 2004. ? Fifth, its international profile with 50% of the occupancy being international companies in the Professional Show. ? Sixth, the large attendance of local, autonomic and state professionals and institutions, national and international. One more year, Portugal has been the first country, followed by Poland, the USA and the UK. The presentation of the City of Lisbon, carried out by its Mayor, Antonio Rodrigues Carmona, must be highlighted among the international presentations.
