| "1st EURO-ARAB REAL ESTATE CONFERENCE" AT BMP 2009 |

Barcelona Meeting Point signed last April 20th in Dubai an agreement with the Arab Union for Real Estate Development for the celebration of its conference at the next edition of BMP. This Conference will take place on October 27th 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. It will analyze two main topics: “The Islamic Way of Doing Business” and “Investment Opportunities in both Arab Countries and Europe”.
The afternoon of the Conference day will feature break out sessions or round tables where a moderator will boost the interchanging of ideas and opinions between Arab and European countries delegates on three main issues: one room will be dedicated to the residential market, in a second one the hotel and resorts’ industry and, thirdly, the industrial and logistics’ sector.
What is the Arabian Union for Real Estate Development?
An Arab non-political, international organization operating in the framework of the League of Arab States, and working in the framework of the Council of Arab Economic Unity as one of the Arab federation of quality. It is specialized and affiliated to international economic and social organizations, and interested in workers of real estate field (17 fields) in the 22 Arab countries.
Its main objectives are to activate the business relations between the members and to reach out to a real partnership and joint ventures that combine leading specialists in the various countries and also exchange experience in 17 areas of real estate development.

The most important activities:
1. The Study of the legislation governing real estate in the Arab States and to express an opinion on the amendments required to take advantage of the positive examples at hand.
2. The establishment of the map for investment projects currently on the table and future real estate investment opportunities in all the Arab countries.
3. The Participate in the World Federation of Real Estate Investment and representing members of the international associations, specialized in the field to be informed on the most recent developments.
4. The Establishment of training center for the training of specialized personnel, rehabilitation and development of the competencies required to upgrade the real estate.
5. The Establishment of an information center for real estate activities to provide a detailed database of all items, including real estate in the 22 Arab countries
6.The Issuance of an Arab Real Estate Directory that include all real estate companies (investment - development - finance - marketing - consultancy - experience - Valuation - Project Management - Real Estate Services - Maintenance)
7.The establishment of a specialized information center for the issuance of bulletins and journals of scientific information and journals and newspapers to participate in the economic and real estate satellite channels to influence public opinion toward the real issues.
8. The establishment of an arbitration center specialized in commercial disputes in the field of construction.
