BMP offers the opportunity to learn first hand the investment opportunities in Turkey in the session Turkey: the new land of opportunities. Gyoder: a gateway to the Turkish real estate market. Turkey's rapidly growing economy has triggered great demand for better housing, retail centers and more modern buildings, offering excellent opportunities for all property markets. In the last two years where GNP has increased 8% on the average, growth in the construction and real estate industries were almost 20%. Annual housing demand of Turkey is estimated to be 600,000 dwellings. In order to meet such an enormous demand, investors, developers and REITs have initiated new projects in the last three years. This resulted in an increase in residential prices between 40-45% in 2004 and 2005. As a result, national and international companies are joining the race for a share of the booming real estate and construction sectors, as well as the mortgage market which is due to start soon.
